The event at the D’Hanis Community Center starts Friday evening and continues through Saturday afternoon. Karaoke Night doused; rescheduled for August
Karaoke Night, which had been scheduled for downtown Hondo this past Saturday night, was a victim of the much-needed and much-welcomed rain. As part of the City of Hondo’s Summer Music Series, Karaoke Night has now been moved to the end of the season schedule, and will now be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, instead. Early voting continues for city races, school bond
Early voting began Monday and continues through next Tuesday for Hondo’s lone city council race, and for the Hondo ISD bond election. Early voting runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 23-24, and again on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28. Polls are open each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Election day is Saturday, May 2, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The HISD bond, which is divided into three proposals, will total $30 million.
